Through BAM, clients may access a straightforward, inexpensive Probate Valuations Service, a Dealing Service for security holdings, and a Probate Loan facility to expedite the settlement of Estates’ affairs. These are provided by Adam & Company, or other stockbrokers with whom we have longstanding agreements.

The Probate Loan Service

Executors who hold, or transfer investments into Adam Nominees Ltd can avail themselves of a Probate Loan service. Depending on the type and nature of the Estate’s investments, loans of up to 50% of value can be quickly and easily arranged with Adam Bank. This service is particularly useful for Executors in facilitating the administrative and other arrangements of Estates without undue delay.

Probate Valuations and Dealing

To forestall Executors becoming unnecessarily embroiled in administration, emphasis is placed on the verification of all holdings and correct paperwork before Valuations or Deals are executed. If appropriate, partly completed transfer forms can be arranged at the time of the valuation in anticipation of future sales.

BAM provides one-off investment advice as part of this service at no charge. Charges for the Probate service, for all UK quoted equities and Government Stocks, are as follows:

Valuations: (+ VAT)
            0.08% on value
            Minimum £20 per portfolio
            Maximum £50 per portfolio
            Redrawing of dividend cheques - £3.50
            Broker Transfer of shares to be retained - £3.50

Dealing Commissions:
            1.0% on first £10,000 of each bargain
            0.6% on balance of each bargain
            Minimum £20
