At BAM we follow a disciplined approach to the investment process to ensure that portfolios best meet the priorities of the individual client. Our approach is essentially conservative combining today’s sophisticated techniques of investment management with fundamental research and risk control.

We draw on the investment research of leading securities companies. From our own analysis of this we formulate policy; this is summarised in a Quarterly Newsletter which is circulated to clients and professional advisers.

The investment process has three stages:
1.  Macroeconomic analysis of major financial trends
       worldwide from which overall asset allocations are
       determined
2.  Sector analysis
3.  Stock selection

All of the firm’s investment managers contribute to the investment process. The central investment policy is adopted and adapted by each manager in accordance with the particular circumstances and priorities of their individual clients.

We take a long-term view of investment. We believe that making frequent changes is rarely acting in the best interest of our clients.
