Alongside all our Executive Directors, our Investment Team comprises the following members:-

Jane Conlin Jane graduated in Business Studies from Sheffield University before joining Guardian Royal Exchange in 1991. After qualifying as an Independent Financial Adviser, she specialised in investment management and subsequently joined Clydesdale Bank where she managed their Manchester investment department. Jane joined Border in 2005 and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments ("CISI"). |

Paul Stevens Paul has worked as an investment specialist for sixteen years and before moving to Yorkshire in 2002, worked for Barclays Stockbrokers and Laing & Cruickshank. He then worked for the investment division of Irwin Mitchell, a nationwide firm of solicitors. Paul is a Fellow of the CISI. He joined Border’s Harrogate office in 2006. |

John Thornber John graduated in English and Philosophy from Hull University. Having chosen a career in investment management, he spent ten years with Manchester stockbrokers Pilling & Co before joining Border’s Harrogate office in 2005. John is a Fellow of the CISI. |

Mark Couch Mark graduated in Business Management from Lancaster University in 1995. Having served in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, he joined James Brearley & Sons in 1999 becoming the manager of their Southport Office. Mark is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI and joined Border in 2008. |

Nick Levens Nick initially worked in Kendal for Prolific Unit Trust Managers before moving to London to work for Henderson Investors. Having returned to Kendal to work for Gerrards, he joined Border in 2002 where he passed his Certificate of Investment Management in 2005. Nick is an Associate Member of the CISI. |

David Ferguson David joined Liverpool based stockbrokers Neilson Milnes in 1986 and worked on the private client and banking desk before moving to their Lake District office in 1989. In 1997 this firm merged with Rathbone Plc and he was appointed an Investment Director. He became a member of the Stock Exchange in 1991 and a Fellow of the CISI in 1992. He joined Border in 2008. |

William Ball William graduated from Northumbria University in 2002 having read Business Administration before joining Brown Shipley, training to be an Investment Manager. He spent two and half years at Brown Shipley where he undertook a number of the CISI professional examinations. He then joined Merrill Lynch, working in the Global Wealth Management division in London where he gained invaluable experience and knowledge before moving to Border in 2009. |
