Sir Timothy Kimber Bt
Non-Executive Chairman

Sir Timothy worked in industry before joining Lazard Brothers in 1966. He was a director of Lazard Securities and of Lazard Brothers between 1974 and 1989 when he founded Border Asset Management with Robert Bell. In addition to his work at Border, he has been a director or chairman of a number of Investment Trusts as well as Noble Group and the Cumberland Building Society. Sir Timothy was High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1997.

Richard Boddy
Non-Executive Director

Richard has been a qualified Chartered Accountant with wide experience in industry. He was a director of English China Clays when that company merged with Boddy Industries in 1977 and subsequently became Managing Director of Tilcon. He has recently been Chairman of the Cumbria Tourist Board and Cumbria Crimestoppers as well as Vice Chairman of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. He is a Trustee of Frances C Scott Charitable Trust and has been a non-executive director of Border since 1995.  Richard is Chairman of our Audit Committee.

The Hon. Michael Benson
Non-Executive Director

Michael managed private client portfolios for more than 17 years at Lazard Brothers. In 1994 he joined the Amvescap group where he initially became CEO of their Far East operations. In 1997 he was promoted to CEO for all Amvescap operations outside the USA. From 2003 until 2005, he was Vice Chairman of the Group and Chairman of Invesco. He joined Border as a non-executive director in 2006 and sits on our Audit Committee.
